Thanksgiving as is self-explanatory in the name itself is a day of thanks where people offer prayers of gratitude for what harvest they’ve been blessed with in the preceding year whilst praying for more and better in the year to come. Thanksgiving days are public holidays in the numerous countries that observe it and it has different dates of observation in the various countries that celebrate it.

It is a day of celebration that dates back to the rule of the reign of the English King Henry VIII and it was so important back then even as it was observed during the eve of important events such as the deliverance of Queen Anne as well as the victory over the Spanish Armada.

As mentioned earlier, Thanksgiving days are observed and celebrated by various countries although the dates vary in these different countries. Such countries include the United States of America, Canada, Liberia, Grenada and Saint Lucia. Thanksgiving days are public holidays in the aforementioned countries.
