All-terrain vehicle and boat problems are said to have complicated the 64-day search for Frank Young, according to the leader of the Red Earth Cree Nation. The missing five-year-old child was reported on April 19.
He was wearing a navy blue jacket, blue pyjamas with green dinosaurs, and Paw Patrol shoes while playing in the front yard of his home.
Young was last seen that day at noon, although according to authorities, he may have been spotted at a playground in the area around 2:30. It is unlikely that he was kidnapped.
The number of people involved in the lengthy search that drew more than 600 people has diminished, but committed volunteers and local firefighters are still hunting for the missing child.
