Furthermore, he had committed his first crime in the August of 2015 and his second crime in the September of 2021.

Rapist Arrested – Charges Sentence And Victim

The rapist has been proven guilty of raping and sexually assaulting two women. He has accepted his crime.

Furthermore, he has pleaded guilty to one count of rape and one count of sexual assault by penetration. Austin was taken to the Leeds Crown Court on 27th January.

The court has remanded him in custody ahead of his sentencing hearing that will take place on 23rd February.

Back in 2015, a chilling video of a rapist was caught in CCTV footage in which he is seen carrying his victim through Leeds city center before attacking her.

The video was released by West Yorkshire Police in 2015 in an attempt to hunt the predator. It was only last year that he was caught.

The 40-year-old rapist entered guilty pleas to the two charges after appearing at Leeds Crown Court on 27th January 2022.

Digging deeper into the case, Osayande’s first offense was raping a 24-year-old woman in Mark Lane in the city. This had taken place on the 14th of August 2015. The police took an unusual step of releasing the video shortly afterward in a bid to identify the man.

On that morning, at 5 am, the victim was walking to get a taxi home after a night pout in the city when Austin approached her.

Furthermore, he spoke to her and walked alongside her. Later, he picked her up in the arms, carried her to the scene of the attack, and raped her.

In an earlier CCTV footage, Austin was seen wearing a long black overcoat and black trousers with a shaven head. He was seen loitering in a car park and approaching a woman on the street.

The Head of Crime for Leeds District, Detective Superintendent Pat Twiggs said that the police gave very careful consideration to releasing the video and they had secured the consent of the victim who had been left traumatized by what this man had done to her.
