Jaheim Robinson, an 18-year-old Grade 12 student at Scarborough’s David and Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute, was shot and killed.

Just as the day’s classes were nearing the end, the adolescent approached and shot 18-year-old Jahiem Robinson from behind inside the Scarborough high school.

Before exiting the scene, the suspect pursued another 18-year-old, beat him, and brandished a revolver at him.

Detectives have identified an 18-year-old student, Jaheim Robinson, who was fatally shot inside a Scarborough high school and has taken custody of a 14-year-old child who reportedly attempted to kill a second victim, but his gun did not fire.

According to Toronto police, the kid approached Robinson and shot him from behind inside the Scarborough high school just as classes ended for the day.

Emergency services were dispatched to David and Mary Thomson Collegiate, located at Midland and Lawrence avenues.

Jahiem was found with a gunshot wound near the school’s rear doors and was pronounced dead on the spot, according to police.

The suspect opened fire from behind Robinson before fleeing the scene, searching for a second victim.
