In the late 2000s, Robbie began his career in Australian independent films before appearing on the soap opera Neighbors (2008-2011). She studied theater at Somerset College.
For her portrayal of disgraced figure skater Tonya Harding in the biopic I, Tonya, Robbie has received favorable reviews and nominations for both the BAFTA and Academy Awards for Best Actress (2017).
