Ntombizanele Grace Sifuba is a politician and educator from South Africa who has been the speaker of the Free State Provincial Legislature since May 2019. In the same month, she was elected to the legislature. Sifuba belongs to the African National Congress.
Sifuba graduated with a bachelor of arts in education from Vista University in 1988. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Central University of Technology. In 2017, Sifuba received a postgraduate diploma in governance and political development from the University of the Free State. She is presently working on her master’s degree in the same profession.
Sifuba served as a teacher from 1999 until 2019. She was also the deputy director of the province’s Department of Social Development in charge of monitoring and evaluation.
Sifuba was appointed deputy secretary of the African National Congress in the party’s President Steyn area in 1995. She was also a member of the South African Democratic Teachers Union’s leadership. COSATU’s deputy provincial chairperson was Sifuba. Sifuba is now a member of the ANC’s economic development and gender and equality subcommittees.
