The police have arrested a Danvers man, Mark Ternullo, on the charges of possession of child pornography discovered during the apartment renovation.

Netizens were shocked following the arrest news of a Danvers man after the police found explicit images of children in his apartment.

Danvers police, state police, and a Newbury police investigator who is a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children task force are all involved in the investigation.

The authorities stated that the photographs were in a secret chamber in Mark’s rented flat.

Mark Ternullo, the Danvers man arrested for the possession of child pornography in his apartment, is a child and family psychologist.

According to Essex District Attorney Ann Marie Gochis, the man was charged Thursday for child pornography possession after a contractor uncovered hundreds of photographs while renovating the man’s residence.

The owner of the multi-family property had informed the Danvers police. Mark Ternullo had been a tenant in the apartment for about 23 years.

The building owner briefed police that a contractor was renovating the apartment, and they had to extract the wall behind the bathtub because of water damage.

While removing the wall, they discovered a hidden room containing multiple boxes containing pornographic images of children.

Mark Ternullo Age: How Old Is He?

Mark Ternullo, the arrested Danvers man, is 68 years of age.

Ternullo has blue eyes with a white-colored beard and does not have much hair. Many people expressed their concerns following the news about the child psychologist.

The police have not yet disclosed Mark’s family background and details to the media.

One of the workers had entered the area when he discovered an 812 by 11-inch piece of picture paper with an image that “didn’t appear right.” He also noticed several crates in the room with similar graphics.

Mark Ternullo Jail Sentence Details

Regarding jail sentence, the court highlighted Ternullo’s lack of a record and set bond at $10,000, along with the prosecutor’s request for house confinement and no internet access.

Prosecutor Anne Marie Gochis had requested that Judge Randy Chapman impose bond at $500,000 in cash, claiming “serious worries” that Ternullo might leave if released.

Ternullo’s attorney, Mark Dewan, requested a lesser bond of $1,000, citing his client’s health issues, including bladder cancer, diabetes, and anxiety about contracting COVID in jail.
