Melissa Elisabeth Lucio is the first woman to be sentenced to death in the state of Texas after she was found guilty of capital murder of her two-year-old daughter Mariah Alvarez on February 17, 2007.
She hasn’t been executed as of now but her execution has been scheduled for 27th April 2022. She has still maintained her stance on being innocent after all evidence proving her guilt.
