Who is Molly Krebs? Mother pleads guilty in death of 3-year-old son in Ohio

An Ohio lady identified as Molly Krebs has entered a guilty plea in connection with the child’s terrible death in 2022. Previously, she was given permission to attend her son’s funeral.

She pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of her 3-year-old son.

Who is Molly Krebs?

Molly Krebs is 28 years old. According to a departmental press statement, Cincinnati Police responded to a complaint at Krebs’ home on Ridgeway Avenue in Avondale on December 1, 2022, at around 12:01 a.m. Sadly, they came and located Jayden’s lifeless body in the bathtub, drowned.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Krebs admitted to leaving the kid unattended in the bathtub for more than 90 minutes. Krebs told the police that she was exhausted after a long day at her contracting and painting business. She added that Jayden had an allergic response to something, causing her to give him Benadryl to stop the hives that followed.

Krebs recalled that after getting her son ready for a bath and setting him in the tub, she accidentally slept off after leaving the bathroom. She woke up to discover her son dead and called the police.

Jayden was unfortunately declared dead after being taken by ambulance to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. The Homicide Unit of the Cincinnati Police Department quickly caught up with Krebs.

According to court documents, she was charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the tragic death of her 3-year-old son but has changed her plea to guilty. Prosecutors will drop additional child endangerment allegations against Molly Krebs as part of the Wednesday plea deal.

On December 1, 2022, her son Jayden died in an unattended bathtub. The boy’s funeral was held on December 19, 2022, and a Hamilton County court gave Krebs permission to attend despite being charged with his death.
