Eddie Amoo was a popular singer and songwriter of the soul group, The Real Thing. He was also the brother of the group’s current lead vocalist, Chris Amoo.

Amoo gained huge fame in the 70s as the main singer of The Real Thing. In 1976, the group’s song, You To Me Are Everything topped the UK charts as No1 single.

Since then, Eddie gave hits like Can You Feel The Force?, Can’t Get By Without You, and so on.

Eddie Amoo was the brother of The Real Things’ current vocalist, Chris Amoo.

The brothers grew up in the same household, but they had an age gap of 8 years. Eddie was born in 1944 whilst Chris was born in 1952.

Since Eddie was the eldest brother, he was an inspiration to Chris. Chris looked up at him, and he joined the group, The Real Thing with him as well.

The brothers gained worldwide recognition for their music. In 1977, they wrote You’ll Never Know What You’re missing which reached No. 23 at the Billboard chart.
