Jerry Cassaday was a former American police and a murderer. He was also a pit boss who served at a casino in Reno, Nevada.

Cassaday and his online lover, Sharee Miller planned and killed Miller’s husband, Bruce. Jerry became a victim of Sharee’s game plan and later on, he took his own life.

Jerry Cassaday’s suicide and Bruce’s murder were one of the first internet murder mysteries.

In 2000, Jerry killed himself and he left behind his confession and the printouts of the online conversations that he formerly shared with his internet lover, Sharee Miller.

After the letters came to the police’s insight, they reinvestigated Bruce’s murder case from Michigan which they initially labeled as a robbery gone wrong. Then, they arrested Jerry’s online girlfriend, Sharee Miller. They also found how Miller manipulated him and planned her husband’s murder online.

In the conversations with Cassaday, Sharee accused her husband of being in the mafia and abusing her. Also, she faked being pregnant with Jerry’s child twice.

After he murdered Bruce, Sharee left him and started dating another guy. Then, Jerry struggled to keep his life together so, he became an alcoholic and abused drugs.

Cassaday then ended his own life by committing suicide at age 39. But before that, he left his confessions and the prints of his online chats with Sharee as evidence for Bruce’s murder case.
