She was convicted of second-degree murder and conspiracy to conduct premeditated first-degree murder on December 22, 2000.

Thus, the court sentenced her to life in prison for the conspiracy to kill and 54 to 81 years for second-degree murder.

And, one day she met Jerry Cassidy, a former homicide detective. She began to develop a physical relationship with him. After some time, she fabricated stories where she told him that her spouse was abusive and involved with the mafia.

She also told him that her husband had found out she was pregnant with someone else’s baby and killed the child out of rage. And, again, after a few months, she told him that she was expecting once again and it was twins.

Soon after the news, Cassidy received an email from Bruce telling him that he had killed the twins. It pushed Jerry to the breaking point. As a result, he and Sharee hitched the plan to murder him.
