There were some very substantial changes in the sixth episode of House of the Dragon, including the entrance of several new character members and a ten-year time leap. 10 years is a sizable period of time, as we can see in the episode, “The Princess and the Queen,” and it entails the introduction and deaths of a few characters who viewers know little about.

While Daemon and a pregnant Laena were in Pentos visiting their relatives, Episode 6 briefly followed them. Before an emotional scene where Laena gives birth, the prince proposed to have them dwell there, and Laena and Daemon stood at opposing ends of the proposition.

Laena descends to her dragon Vhagar and commands it to set her ablaze after it is obvious that the infant cannot be extracted on its own. Dracarys.

Why did Laena Velaryon kill herself?

Laena murdered herself because she was aware that she would not survive giving birth and that she and Daemon’s unborn kid was probably already dead.

She revealed that she desired a Dragonrider’s death, which entails committing suicide by dragon fire, as foreshadowed in an earlier encounter between Laena and Daemon.

Since she knew she would die regardless, she hurriedly performed a dragonrider’s death before passing away during childbirth. Even though Vhagar is a dragon, the beast’s expression says it all.
