American professional wrestler Ric Flair, then known as Richard Morgan Fliehr, was born on February 25, 1949. Throughout his 50-year career, Flair received praise from his contemporaries and the media for being the greatest professional wrestler of all time.

Flair and Razor Ramon challenged Savage and Perfect at the Survivor Series in November 1992. Flair competed in the January 1993 Royal Rumble before falling to Mr. Perfect in a Loser Leaves the WWF bout on Monday Night Raw the following night (January 25, 1993), which had been taped six days earlier.

 

Why Did Ric Flair Quit Wrestling?

According to a verbal agreement between Flair and Vince McMahon, Flair would be released from his contract if he received an opportunity to work for someone else who wasn’t in the main event position. Bill Watts made the decision to leave the WWF just as he was ready to be elevated to a mid-card position when he made the opportunity to return to WCW.

Flair joined the WWF’s “Winter Tour ’93” in Europe after completing his final home show duties. He made his last appearance with the WWF on February 11th, 1993, and then rejoined WCW.
