Conrad Thompson and David Crockett organized and promoted the event, which was the first card to be advertised under the Jim Crockett Promotions (JCP) brand since 1988, as a part of the Starrcast V convention.

With 6,800 attendees and a live gate of $448,502, the event surpassed All In to become the second-highest-earning independent professional wrestling event in North America in contemporary times.

The encounter gave Flair one more opportunity to do his hits, and in classic Nature Boy style, it resulted in him spitting blood throughout the course of the contest. Conrad Thompson, Flair’s other son-in-law and the reigning podcast king, ultimately used some brass knuckles to enable Flair to defeat Jarrett.

Thus, Flair won his last much with the help of King and Conrad Thompson his son in law.
