Stephen McDaniel has been convicted of murdering Lauren Giddings, his classmate in her apartment. He is now famous for murdering Giddings.
According to reports, on June 26, 2011, he broke into the room of the young lady using the master key he stole from the storeroom of the apartment.
He strangled Lauren Giddings to death and then dismembered her body disposing of her in the trash can of the apartment.
Lauren Giddings was said to have been preparing for her BAR Examination which is set to take place in August that year.

According to sources, Stephen McDaniel asked Lauren Giddings to be his girlfriend which she refused.
Then she was already in a relationship with David Vandiver. McDaniel lost his mind as a result of that and decided to commit that crime.
