They’ve been in the news after Depp filed a defamation lawsuit against Heard in early 2019 in Virginia, USA, over an op-ed she penned about violent relationships that were published by The Washington Post in December 2018.
Many others have jumped on board to testify against Depp or his ex-wife Amber during the defamation trial.
Depp has asked Morgan Tremaine, a former TMZ staffer who is claimed to have provided TMZ with a video of Depp ranting at Heard and slamming cabinet doors, to testify in Amber Heard’s continuing defamation suit.

Morgan Tremaine will not testify in the ongoing defamation trial against Amber Heard, as requested by Johnny Depp, according to the report.
This comes after TMZ filed an emergency application in court on Tuesday to stop Johnny Depp from contacting their former employee.
Morgan had nothing to do with the video, according to the gossip site’s legal team, and any testimony presented would be based on hearsay and conjecture, thus Tremaine’s testimony will be irrelevant in the trial.
