These songs also placed in the top 5 on Billboard’s Easy Listening chart. The albums Adam and Evening (1961) and Adam Wade One Is A Lonely Number (1962) were both released by Wade in the UK.

The EP And Then Came Adam was also released by Wade in 1960. “Take Good Care of Her” peaked at position 38 on the UK Singles Chart in June 1961.

Wade’s singing style and that of Johnny Mathis at the time were sharply contrasted.

Nat King Cole, a singer from a bygone era, was actually his greatest inspiration. Wade told Connecticut Public Radio that his father first introduced him to Nat’s music when he was a little boy. He has been my hero ever since high school.
