Ace media personality, Nana Yaa Brefo’s resignation from Multimedia came as a shock to many. The co-host of Badwam television morning show on Adom TV announced her resignation via Instagram on 17th May, 2020.
Yaa Brefo wrote, ” I want to say a big THANK YOU to MultiMedia and my colleagues. Also my fans for the support really.” Adding, she wrote she “really appreciate” and “also thank those who did not like me, you made me grow during my 10 years stay at Multimedia, (Adom TV). I bow out of Multimedia to follow other dreams. Thank you for being here.”
Well, many people have said that her reason for leaving is because of how harshly she interviewed actress Nana Ama Mcbrown on the death of Bishop Bernard Nyarko. Apparently, Nana Yaa Brefo refused to apologize to Mcbrown as according to her, “she does not see anything wrong with how she conducted her interview”.
In the latest development, media personality Afia Schwarzenegger who prides herself as “Spiritual gossip leader of the nation” has come out to reveal the possible reasons why Yaa Brefo left Adom TV.
In a Youtube vlog, Afia alleged that Multimedia has planned with their presenters to be asking ‘stupid and senseless’ questions which can make their stations trend for more viewership.
Hence, it was planned for Nana Yaa Brefo to ask Nana Ama McBrown those ‘stupid’ questions for their TV station to trend.
Elaborating on her point, Afia Schwarzenegger said if indeed Adom TV didn’t plan those questions with their Host, Nana Yaa Brefo, they could have cut off the program or go for a commercial and call her to order before continuing the show.
Or even the producer of the show can alert the Host (Nana Yaa Brefo) to tone down on her ‘harsh questions’. But because it was a planned thing, they allowed the program to go on.
Talking more on why Nana Yaa Brefo left, Afia said she was forced to apologize which she refused to do because she doesn’t see the reason why something would be planned with her only for them (Multimedia) to now be painting her black as if all the fault was from her.
