Meet the Associate band group member Alan Rankine from the United Kingdom who is reportedly dead at the time. The 64-year-old guitarist and keyboardist was known to have been born on May 17, 1958, in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Alan Rankine was known to have been a band member of “The Associates” from the year 1979 to the year 1993. Alan Rankine and one Billy MacKenzie were the group’s backbone and Co founders. Before his death recently, on January 3, 2023, Alan Rankine was well known for his keyboard and guitar prowess which the group relied upon for a long time.

Together with all their unique efforts and abilities, they were able to release three albums with the title names; “The Affectionate Punch”, “Fourth Drawer Down”, and “Sulk”, released in the years 1980, 1981, and 1982 respectively. MacKenzie was the lead singer in the group at the time. However, after some time Alan Rankine left the group to embark on a solo career path.

Alan Rankine passed away at 64 after celebrating Christmas with his family. At the moment Alan Rankine wasn’t diagnosed with any disease. No information has been released concerning an illness or infection that caused his death.
