Alex Sobel is a British politician who was born on born 26 April 1975, in Leeds, England. Since the 2017 general election, Alexander David has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Leeds North West.
In 2007, Sobel was elected as a councilor for the Headingley ward in Leeds, where he served until 2011. During this time, he was also a member of the Leeds City Council’s executive board, responsible for finance and sustainability.
In 2015, Sobel was elected as a Member of Parliament for the Leeds North West constituency, representing the Labour Party. He was re-elected in the 2017 and 2019 general elections.
During his time in Parliament, Sobel has been an active member of several committees, including the Environmental Audit Committee and the Science and Technology Committee.
