About Bayer 04 Leverkusen

Established in 1904, the club was originally formed by employees of the renowned German pharmaceutical company, Bayer AG, which is headquartered in Leverkusen. The club derived its name from this association. Initially, it was a prominent department of TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen, a sports club that encompassed various disciplines such as athletics, gymnastics, basketball, field handball, and even the RTHC Bayer Leverkusen (rowing, tennis, and hockey).

However, in 1999, the football department separated from the sports club and became an independent entity known as Bayer 04 Leverkusen Fußball GmbH. Bayer achieved their first promotion to the Bundesliga in 1979 and has maintained their position in the top division ever since.

Come along to the Bayer 04 Soccer School and unleash your enthusiasm for the beautiful game. Here it’s all about pure pleasure movement with the ball. At the Bayer 04 Soccer School, you will find a large range of day events but also holiday offers for everybody.

Our young players receive optimum support through targeted individual and team training as well as interesting comparative games. At the same time, we hope that our young players develop to the maximum in an environment tailored to them to help them develop their full potential and make the step up to our first team.

The academy has programs for all players and goalkeepers. They have a holiday camp, goalkeeper camp and day specials.

HOLIDAY CAMP

The Bayer 04 Soccer school offers holiday camps during school holidays where kids not only have the chance to train on the pitches at the Werkself but can also experience the full programme of the world of Bayer 04.

With the stadium tour through the BayArena, lunch and the now traditional visit from a Werkself player, it is certain nobody will be bored.

GOALKEEPER CAMP

The goalkeeper camps are led by qualified goalkeeping coaches who bring the one-on-one into focus with the goalkeeper game and then put what’s learned into effect in numerous match and training drills together with the outfield players

DAY SPECIALS

Children and young people aged between six and 14 (depending on description) have the opportunity to be part of the Werkself for one day. Selected players will be at the training session. The two 90 to 120-minute training sessions take place in the shadow of the BayArena.
