Billy Bingham is not only known as a professional footballer with an outstanding record of impact in the world of sports but had a great personality with a managerial skill and ability to his credentials.

Did Billy Bingham manage Everton?

Billy Bingham is also known as the long standing former Everton player and manager, who appeared in 227 matches for Sunderland and succeeded in winning the league competition of championship together with the almighty Everton in the year, 1963.

Bingham managed to sign Martin Dobson and Bob Latchford as new players at the time he became part of Everton.

He is also on record to have gained 56 caps as part of his success story in Everton, and not forgetting his management with Northern Ireland for the past 17 years.

All these breakthroughs were made possible by adding to Billy’s professional career, when he took over from Harry Catterick in May 1973, in order to manage Everton.

When August 5, 1931, born professional Northern Ireland player and manager, Billy Bingham died on June 9, 2022, Everton Football Club expressed their deepest condolence to him for his dedication and outstanding records made in the club and beyond.

“We were saddened by the death of our former player and manager, Billy Bingham”. EFC stated. ”Our thoughts and well wishes from everybody at Everton go to Billy’s family and friends.” They added.

Bingham did not only manage Everton from 1973 but also managed Plymouth Argyle and Northern Irish club Linfield too.
