Although Camilla Cabella has never publicly admitted to having an abortion, it is evident that she supports women’s freedom to choose.
Camila Cabello received recognition for her efforts with the Movement Voter Fund to create the Healing Justice Project today at Variety’s Power of Women event, presented by Lifetime.
Along with fellow honorees Drew Barrymore, Kim Cattrall, Queen Latifah, and Amanda Seyfried, Cabello spoke on the white carpet in advance of the ceremony about the ongoing discussion surrounding abortion rights.
It was recently revealed that the US Supreme Court had secretly decided to overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark decision that has protected fundamental abortion rights in the country since 1973.
It’s horrible, Cabello stated. Because resourceful women, like me, will be able to handle situations if necessary, it will undoubtedly have the greatest impact on impoverished women.
It is awful to think that one event may alter the path of a woman’s life. And it’s unfortunate that those who are impacted don’t have a voice.
