Kayla Banwarth, is an American college volleyball coach, she was born on January 21, 1989. She is currently the head coach of the University of Mississippi’s (Ole Miss Women’s Volleyball Team). She was a libero for the women’s national volleyball team of the United States. With the national team, Banwarth won gold at the 2014 World Championship, bronze at the 2015 World Cup, and silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Kayla Banwarth participated in volleyball, when she was at the University of Nebraska, she was also a member of the USA national team that defeated China 3-1 to win the 2014 World Championship gold medal. During her retirement from competition during the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Banwarth returned to her alma mater, the University of Nebraska, to coach the women’s volleyball team. she was appointed as the head coach of Ole Miss, during the beginning of the fall of 2020.
