For 67 seasons, Scully served as the play-by-play announcer for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball, establishing himself as a household figure in the sports broadcasting industry. When the Brooklyn Dodgers moved to Brooklyn in 1950, he became a member and remained one until he retired in 2016. In his eighty-eighth year of life, he was still going strong.
