Jackson revealed in an interview that his mother was a lesbian. Jackson was raised by his grandparents following the death of his mother and the departure of his father.
50 Cen started boxing around the age of 11, and when 50 Cen was 14, a neighbour opened a boxing gym for local kids. “When I wasn’t in school, I was either sparring in the gym or selling crack on the strip,” Jackson recalled.
During primary school, 50 Cen sold crack. “I used to be competitive in the ring, and hip-hop is no different… Rappers, I believe, condition themselves like boxers in order to feel like champions.”
