Beverly Garland did have prominent recurring appearances in a number of well-known television series. The role of Barabara Harper Douglas, the spuose of widower Steve Douglas (Fred MacMurray), who she wed in the last season of the sitcom My Three Sons, may be the one for which she is best remembered. From 1969 to end of the series in 1972, Garland acted in that part. Garland co-starred in the CBS television series Scarecrow and Mrs. King in the 1980’s as Dotty West, the mother of Kate Jackson’s character.
