Diana Ernestine Earle Ross was born on March 26, 1944. In 1961, she was signed to Motown Records as a group called “The Supremes”.
In 1964, the group released a major hit Where Did Our Love Go, the song was an unprecedented success. The group had ten Number 1 hits.
In 1970, Ross started her solo career releasing signature songs Reach Out and Touch (Somebody’s Hand) and Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.
In 1971, she starred in her first film which earned her a Golden Globe and Academy Award nomination.
In 1980, Ross released a major hits I am coming Out and Endless Love. In 1985, she was part of “The USA for Africa”, singing We Are The World.
