Jackie Chan is a Hong Kong actor, filmmaker and martial artist. He is known for his comedic stunts which he performs himself. He has starred in over 150 films like Rush Hour 1&2, Around the World in 80 Days and the trilogy Kung Fu Panda.

Born Fang Shilong in 1954 in British Hong Kong to extremely poor parents. He started performing at the age of 5 and by 1972, he was a part of Bruce Lee’s film Fist of Fury. In 1979, he directed his first movie, The Fearless Hyena.

Chan’s first successful film in America was Rumble in the Bronx. In 1998, he co-starred with Chris Tucker for Rush Hour which grossed $130 million in the U.S.

By the 2000s, Chain was a Hollywood leading man, playing action comedy like Shanghai Noon, Rush Hour 2, The Tuxedo and Rush Hour 3.

Chan has become one of most recognized stars in the world. He is also a philanthropist and is listed one of the top 10 most charitable celebrities by Forbes magazine.
