Levene had a significant influence on post-punk music. Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante called Levene’s technique “amazing,” adding that “he explored the bounds of what you can do with the guitar.”

Keith Leven formed the Clash with guitarist Mick Jones and bassist Paul Simonon when he was 18 years old.

Levene and Wobble performed as Metal Box in Dub in a number of locations in England, Wales, and Germany in the early months of 2012 after some scheduled performances in Japan were postponed due to visa complications.

After that, the four-song EP Yin & Yang was released. Levene travelled to Prague in the spring of 2014 to record Commercial Zone 2014, an album supported by the Indiegogo crowdsourcing campaign funding platform.

Later on, he made significant investments in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
