Kumasi Ashanti Kotoko has acquired the service of Portuguese Coach Mariano Barreto as their new head coach.
The Porcupine warriors showed Maxwell Konadu the exit door back in December. Abdul Gazele and Johnson Smith took over on interim bases but weren’t up to the standards of the highly demanding club to be given the job permanently.
Barereto (64) had a two year spell with the Ghana Black Stars within the years of 2004 and 2006. He was appointed head coach of the Ethiopian National team 7 years ago but unfortunately last for only a year.
