After graduating from Bloomington Jefferson High School in Minnesota in 1994, Kiffin made the decision to attend Fresno State to play college football.
He forfeited his senior year to work as a student assistant coach for position coach Jeff Tedford, who would later take over as Cal’s head coach in 2002, while also playing quarterback for the Bulldogs.
Kiffin graduated from Fresno State in 1998.
