Matthew John David Hancock, a British politician born on October 2, 1978, held the positions of Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport from January to July 2018 and Secretary of State for Health and Social Care from 2018 to 2021 while serving in the Cabinet.

He also served as Minister for the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General from 2015 to 2016. Since 2010, he has served as the MP for West Suffolk.

Matt Hancock was elected as a Conservative, but he is now a member of the House of Commons as an independent. Hancock took over as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care in July 2018 when Jeremy Hunt was elevated to Foreign Secretary.
