Marcelo Brozović, born on November 16, 1992, is a Croatian professional football player who currently serves as a defensive midfielder for Al Nassr, a club in the Saudi Pro League, as well as the Croatia national team. On 10 June 2023, Brozović assumed the role of captain for Inter in the 2023 UEFA Champions League final, making history as the first Croatian to lead a team in a Champions League final. Unfortunately, Inter suffered a 1-0 defeat against Manchester City, ending the streak of Croatian players winning the Champions League that had persisted since 2013.

On 3 July 2023, Al Nassr, a club in the Saudi Professional League, confirmed the acquisition of Brozović for a transfer fee of €18m. He made his debut for the club on 25 July 2023, playing 54 minutes in a friendly match that resulted in a 5-0 loss against Celta Vigo. Subsequently, on 31 July 2023, he made his competitive debut for the club, playing the full 90 minutes in a 4-1 away victory against Union Sportive Monastirienne in the Arab Club Champions Cup.

Brozović’s international debut for Croatia took place in June 2014. He has represented his nation in the 2014, 2018, and 2022 FIFA World Cups, as well as the 2016 and 2020 UEFA European Championships, reaching the finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2023 UEFA Nations League.
