Hakim’s journey in football began in the streets of Dronten, where he honed his skills and developed his passion for the game. He joined local youth clubs and quickly caught the attention of scouts with his natural talent, dribbling ability, and precise passing. Hakim’s talent was evident from an early age, and he soon made his way to the prestigious youth academy of SC Heerenveen in the Netherlands.
Ziyech began his professional career at Heerenveen in 2012 and later signed with Twente, both Dutch clubs. In 2016, he made a move to Ajax, signing a five-year contract with a transfer fee of €11m. Ziyech’s most successful season was in 2018-19, where he scored 16 goals and provided 13 assists in the Eredivisie. In the 2020-21 season, he joined Chelsea in the Premier League.
Although born in the Netherlands, Ziyech chose to represent Morocco at the international level. He participated in the FIFA World Cup in 2018 and 2022, as well as the Africa Cup of Nations in 2019 and 2023. Ziyech is renowned for his finishing, dribbling, long passes, technique, and free-kick abilities.
