Mills Lane, the late American boxer who later became a boxing referee was born in Georgia on November 12, 1937. Lane also served as a television personality and the District court judge got Nevada.

In 1971, Lane officiated his first boxing contest. When he worked the rematch between Mike Tyson and then-heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield on June 28, 1997, he rose to fame. Prior to becoming a referee, Mills Lane was a boxer.

He won the NCAA welterweight championship in 1960 while a student at the University of Nevada. When he enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1956, he started boxing. In his career as a professional boxer, Lane had a record of 10 wins and 1 loss.
In 2013, Mills Lane was inducted Intentional boxing hall of fame.

The late Mills Lane together with his wife Kaye Lane were blessed with two children, Tommy Lane and Terry Lane. Mills oldest so is Terry Lane while Tommy Lane is the youngest. There isn’t much of information about them.
