2024 /2025 Ohio State University International Student Grant

Every semester, The Ohio State University’s Office of International Affairs provides half tuition assistance to international students. These grants are meant to support overseas students who have proven they require financial assistance to finish their degrees and are two semesters away from graduation.

A single grant award is permitted for each degree level. Email notifications of the grant committee’s decision will be sent to the applicants. The decisions are final. Direct deposits of grants will be made into students’ accounts under the Fees and Deposits heading.

Benefits of Scholarship

International students at The Ohio State University are eligible for 50% tuition assistance each semester through the Office of International Affairs.

These awards are intended to help international students who are two semesters away from graduating and have demonstrated that they need financial aid to complete their degrees.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who meet the requirements must:

• Be enrolled full-time in an Ohio State degree-granting program as a non-immigrant international student in F-1 or J-1 status.
• Have never before gained a grant from the Office of International Affairs for their present degree level
• Have a pressing, unanticipated emergency or be one semester away from graduating
• Pointing to their need for financial assistance to finish their current degree
• A minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 for graduates and 2.5 for undergrads.

Deadline for Application

Application for this scholarship is usually when the applicant is two semesters away from graduation. However, the deadline for application is on February 1, 2024.
