Young Stanislav studied at the Belarusian State University, especially at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. After graduating in 1956, he furthered his graduate studies at the graduate school of the Institute of Physics of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences, where he researched in the field of radio electronics.
His political career saw him become Speaker when Mikalay Dzyemyantsyey was removed over his support of the August 25th coup attempt.
