On September 17, 2017, he made his NFL debut against the Los Angeles Chargers. He punted three times for a total of 130 yards (43.33 average). Haack punted 83 times for 3,695 net yards in 2017, averaging 44.52 yards per punt.

Haack was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after outputting the New York Jets nine times for an average of 44.7 yards in Week 9 of the 2018 season. Haack punted 87 times for 3,884 net yards in 2018, averaging 44.64 yards per punt.
