About Clermont Foot FC

Clermont Foot, also known as Clermont, is a professional football club based in Clermont-Ferrand, France. They currently compete in Ligue 1 starting from the 2023-24 season and have a long and storied history.

Originally founded in 1911, the club underwent a merger in 1990 to become the Clermont Foot we know today. Their home matches are held at the Stade Gabriel-Montpied, located in the city.

A notable period for the club was from 2014 to 2017 when Corinne Diacre became the first woman to manage a men’s professional football team. In an impressive feat, Clermont secured promotion to Ligue 1 in 2021, marking their debut in the top tier of French football.

An educational program is set up to provide civic, social and educational information outside of sporting life to all of our players.

Tailored study paths develop knowledge, skills and experiences that play to students’ strengths, interests and various learning styles. Each student receives individual support and has the opportunity to tailor their learning programme to suit their particular characteristics and their Football Academy commitments.

We want to help students not only realise their footballing dreams but also develop the skills needed to pass the A-level and GCSE exams and enter the world’s top universities.

The club’s approval process for young footballers involves the evaluation of candidates by the Clermont Foot Academy Scouts and Open Football trials. 1. Can I play up in age?

Players may be able to “play up” with older players if deemed appropriate by the CFC Staff. In some cases, the CFC Staff may approve “playing up” to compete in a more suitable environment based on their skill level. CFC will adhere to the US and Florida Youth Soccer guidelines on playing up.

2. What session should I attend?

Please attend the session based on your year of birth.

3. What should I bring to the Evaluations?

Each player should be prepared with cleats, shin guards, and plenty of water.

4. What if I cannot attend any of the dates?

If you cannot attend any sessions, please email us at [email protected]. One of our Directors will contact you to arrange an evaluation and placement on a team.

5. What if it rains?

Information will be communicated via email and posted on our website if applicable.

6. Will I be required to pay a non-refundable deposit to secure my spot on a team?

We do not charge families any deposit to secure a spot with the club.

7. When will practice and games start?

Practices will commence in late July/early August. Games will begin in August or September, depending on your age/team.
