At the age of 8, Starr would not read and had poor grasp on Mathematics. In 1953, he contracted tuberculosis and was placed in a sanatorium for two years.
While at the sanatorium, he was encouraged to join the hospital band as a drummer.
In 1960, Ringo joined “The Beatles”. He was the inspiration to some of The Beatles songs like “I Want To Kiss Ringo Goodbye” and “Ringo for President”.
