A teen from New Mexico got arrested after her alleged involvement in the murder of Elias Otero and the kidnapping of Elias’s brother Nicholas Otero.

Who Was Elias Otero From Albuquerque NM? Shot To Death

Elias Otero was a former Correctional Officer who got shot to death in his residence in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Nicholas Otero, Elias’s 20-year-old brother, was abducted in Alvarado Park on the morning of February 11, 2021.

Three individuals allegedly carjacked him and took him away, according to authorities. The alleged kidnappers then drove to Elias Otero’s home in South West Albuquerque and demanded a $1000 ransom from him.

The kidnappers had had Nicholas at gunpoint at the time and had threatened Elias that if he did not give them the money, they would kill his younger brother.

According to the police, Elias Otero walked outside his residence after receiving the ransom call with a revolver to confront the perpetrators but got shot immediately.

Two of the main suspects of the Elias Otero murder case are Anna Bella Dukes and her boyfriend, Adrian Avila.

As per the reports, Anna had contacted Nicholas Otero with the help of Snapchat. She had reportedly invited Nicholas to meet at Alvarado Park.

Three men, including Duke’s boyfriend Adrian Avila, waited for Nicholas to arrive at the park before carjacking him and taking all of his cash and possessions.

Then they all took Nicholas to his brother’s house, where the incident occurred. The suspects are said to have fled with the stolen car after Elias got shot.

The Otero brothers’ sister then called 911 to report that her brother had been injured with gunshots.
