At his home in Las Vegas on Wednesday evening, Siegfried Fischbacher, one-half of the renowned magic team Siegfried & Roy, passed away from pancreatic cancer. He was 81.
Just a few months before Fischbacher’s passing, Roy Horn, who was his performing partner, passed away at the age of 75 from COVID-19-related complications.
According to a news release from Siegfried & Roy, Fischbacher had the capacity to “perform complex magic at lightning speed.” As Horn was a “perpetual dreamer,” this made him the ideal counterpoint for Horn.
