Frankie Valli is an American singer and the lead singer for the music group the Four Seasons. He was born on May 3, 1934 to an Italian family. He was inspired by Frank Sinatra to become a singer at the age of seven.
Frankie started singing professionally in the early 1950s with the group, the Variety Trio. However, the group split two years later and Frankie went solo. He released his first single, “My Mother’s Eyes” in 1953. In 1956, the group Four Seasons was formed and in 1963 released their number-one hit “Sherry”.
By the end of the 1960s, Frankie was a solo artist again and released “You’re Ready Now”. His single “The Night” peaked as No. 7 on the UK chart. In 1978, he recorded the theme song for the movie Grease.
Frankie also did a bit of acting, featuring in movies like Miami Vice, Witness to the Mob, The Sopranos and Hawaii Five-0 .
