Alan Eugene Jackson is an American singer and songwriter. He is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold over 75 million records worldwide, with 44 million sold in the United States alone. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2017.

Jackson was born on October 17, 1958. He grew up listening to gospel music and after high school he joined the band “Dixie Steel”. He released his first single in 1989, “Blue Blooded Woman” but the song flopped. However his first album, “Here in the Real World” was his first number one hit.

In 2002, he won his first Grammy award for Best Country Song for his 9\11 tribute “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)” and won his second Grammy in 2011 for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals for his collaborative work with Zac Brown Band “As She’s Walking Away”.
