She was born Jane Kristen Marczewski on December 29, 1990, she graduated from Liberty University with a degree in marketing communications.
Nightbirde started performing while she was at Liberty University. She released her first EP, Lines in 2012, a year later she released another EP, Ocean & Sky. In June 2021, she auditioned for America’s Got Talent where she received a golden buzzer from one of the judges Simon Cowell. Her song “It’s OK” became No.1 on iTunes.
However, she had to withdraw from the competition due to ill health.

Nightbirde was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017, she was cancer free in 2018 but it returned in 2019 and she was given three years to the liver. By 2021, cancer had metastasized to her lungs, spine and life.
On February 19, 2022, she died from the disease. Her funeral was live streamed on social media, she was just 31 years old.
