Sir Roderick David Stewart CBE is a British rock and pop singer and songwriter. He is best known for hits like, Never a Dull Moment, and “You Wear It Well”. This rock star was knighted in the 2016 Birthday Honors for services to music and charity and has sold over 250 million records worldwide.

Roderick David Stewart was born on 10 January 1945 to a middle-class family during World War ll. This raspy-voiced singer joined a group, Kool Kats in 1960, and three years later he joined another group, the Dimensions. He made his recording debut with the single, “Up Above My Head” and signed with EMI’s Columbia label.

Stewart had mild success until 1971 when his album Long Player, topped charts in the U.S. By the 1970s and 80s, Stewart gained recognition worldwide with hits like “The Killing of Georgie” and “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?” which peaked at No. 1 in the U.K and the U.S. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
