He was so brilliant that at 15, he applied to study at Harvard and he got a scholarship for his tuition at Harvard in 1958.
Ted went back to school by enrolling at the University of Michigan, to get his master’s and doctoral degrees. At 25, Ted was already an assistant professor. By 1971, he resigned and moved to a remote cabin.
Ted sent out a total of 16 bombs which killed 3 people and injured 23 more. Ted did these to oppose industrialization, he called his crimes consequences of industrialization.
Kaczynski was finally arrested on April 3, 1996. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole on January 21, 1998.

Ted Kaczynski is alive and serving out his sentence at ADX Florence, a supermax prison in Florence, Colorado. There is a report he is suffering from a terminal illness but there has been no confirmation of this report.
