Shatner was born on March 22, 1931 to a conservative household. He studied Economics at McGill University. Shatner followed his passion and started performing in 1951 on a television show The Butler’s Night Off. He got other roles before he landed his major role on Star Trek, he also voiced in the animated Star Trek series for two seasons.
Star Trek gained a cult following and Captain Kirk became a cultural icon. Paramount Pictures produced spin offs and sequels to the movie, which he featured. Shatner also starred in Miss Congeniality, Osmosis Jones, DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story and Over the Hedge.
Shatner has ventured into singing. In Miss Congeniality, he performed the song “Miss United States”. He performed “To Infinity And Beyond” in the 2000 film Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins.
